This past Tuesday night career staff and volunteers gathered together at station 29 for a joint training on man vs machine scenarios. The class was broken into 5 different scenarios: Fence impalement, hand in meat grinder, hand in roller machine, extremity in lawnmower, and removing rings from a finger. Firefighters got to practice using many tools carried on the apparatus finding which tools worked the best in which situation. Focus was placed on finesse of the tool, and thinking through multiple solutions of how to accomplish the task. During the training Rescue 29 was dispatched to assist Horsham Fire Company on a building fire. Rescue 29 operated on scene for just under an hour.
